We are currently engaged in an ongoing fundraising effort so that we can continue to provide our services to the community. Your generous support is greatly appreciated!

Manna Needs

  • Hats
  • Gloves, Mittens
  • Sweatshirts - all sizes, men and women
  • Blankets
  • Assorted toys for all ages

Manna now has a Clothes Bank ministry. This organized system of filling needs with donated clothing is working very well. However, because of hygiene issues, we are unable to recycle undergarments, socks, or pajamas. These are the items most asked for, especially for the homeless, those displaced due to domestic violence, or those recently released from prison. Would you consider picking up an extra package of socks or underwear when you are out shopping? These are items that are relatively inexpensive, but mean so much to folks who have none. Thank you!

Unos Pizza and Manna: Making a Difference in the Community

Unos Pizza announces a year long campaign to help end hunger. Starting Wednesday, December 21, 2011 and continuing every Wednesday, each person who brings in canned goods for Manna will receive a free snack hour appetizer. Tell your friends. Bring your canned goods. Help end hunger in Bangor.

Also for our food pantry and Elijah's House Ministries...

  • Canned goods for the food pantry (the postal workers food drive was the least successful ever)
  • Cereal
  • Soup
  • Bottled Water
  • Toilet Paper
  • Paper towels
  • Napkins
  • Twin Sheets (New)
  • Pillows (New)
  • Bed Pads Twin (New)
Now is the Season of Hope. We ask that you participate in our Adopt-a-Family
program because Christmas is about family. Each year we provide Christmas
presents for families who might not have the funds to make it. You can be
part of that effort! Pick a present off our Giving Tree at our office at 629
Main Street or visit us at our table at the Bangor Mall, near JC Penney,
from December 11 to December 23. You can also select something off the list
below. Please bring your donation to us at our Mall location or our office.
If you prefer, you can make a monetary donation.

Our Annual Christmas Party will be on Saturday, December 25, from 11 AM to 1
PM at the Bangor Park and Recreation Building on Main Street.

Counseling

Manna Ministries is committed to restoration: helping our neighbors get their lives back on track.

Soup Kitcken/Food Pantry

Manna's Soup Kitchen has been open to anyone and everyone that finds themselves in need of a hot meal and a safe place to enjoy it.

Shelter Services

Rescue is the first step of Manna Ministries' service; getting people off the streets and into a safe place is where we begin to help.
